Naturally, it’s the people that make ESS so amazing. In its first year as a minor in 2002, ESS had 11 students in the program. Now we are over 100!

The growth of ESS is not surprising given the quality, passion, and hospitality of our ESS-affiliated faculty. Our faculty are leaders in the field who are recognized for their research and teaching excellence. Student satisfaction with our faculty, coursework, research, and service opportunities is high year after year on the anonymous senior exit survey.
